Karin and Elton Duro

During my two years as an Active U member, I was training almost every weekday. I gained muscles, but didn’t lose weight (fat). I was working out hard but I was not achieving my goal. I’m a testament that your success is 30% exercise and 70% what you eat. The ACTIVE U Weight Loss Challenge definitely worked for me.

Karin and Elton have been members of the TLAC family since 2013.  They are currently living in China, but we hope to welcome them back very soon upon their return to Columbus!

We joined TLAC to get in better health, to get fit, and to do something together as a couple, supporting each other to reach our fitness goals. The convenience of being close of our home helped a lot.

Having a regular exercise routine was a path for us to live a longer and healthier life. Joining the Active U program started making good changes for us. I (Karin) was attending an Active U class 3-5 times a week.  I enjoyed the classes because there is a different type of exercise everyday: HITT, upper body, conditioning, lower body and trainer’s choice. You can do Active U everyday without stressing your body. All trainings are carefully prepared by our trainers to give us strength, conditioning, and body mass.  I got all the motivation to make my training an everyday habit, and miss it when I don’t do it!

Karin: My ACTIVE U WEIGHT LOSS experience was great! I had to commit myself to get there – and I did! I lost 8 pounds in 30 days. I don’t call it a diet program because you eat healthy. The portions you are supposed to eat were more that enough to get you satisfied. I didn’t feel hungry or even angry! After the 30 day challenge, I lost 6 more pounds, just by following Lynn Ramberg’s advice.
